Case Catalogue

Each summer the SPP works with our major Users within the University to prepare case catalogues for the upcoming academic year. These cases/scenarios may be used by any other individual or program. Generally we have a minimum of 100 cases within our library.

“Custom” scenarios will only be accepted for evaluative sessions, such as OSCEs. Contact a Trainer or refer to our User Policies for further information. Please use the scenario writing template to assist in ensuring that all information is provided.

Please note that we have expanded our SP pool to include Physical Exam SPs (formerly referred to as, “Warm Bodies”) as well as Healthy Female and Healthy Male SPs. Different user rates apply.

Booking Procedures

ALL SP booking requests must be submitted electronically, using our online resource booking form.

For large bookings only, please contact simpats@mcmaster.ca and request our Excel Spreadsheet for completion.

Please note: WE WILL NOT ACCEPT BOOKINGS BY ANY OTHER METHOD.

Forms must be completed entirely in order for us to begin processing the request. We require a minimum notice of 5 business days with a completed form, excluding the simulation date.  Custom cases require a notice of 10 business days.
